The BLUENET has participated in the “Innovative Project for a Sustainable Blue Economy” online event

(https://ec.europa.eu/easme/en/section/easme-home/join-easme-side-events-world-circular-economy-forum-online-2020) organised by the Directorate General for Maritime and Fisheries Affairs (DG MARE) and EASME as a side event to the World Circular Economy Forum (#WCEF). This event that was held on the 11th of November 2020, had as an aim present a showcase of innovative projects working on solutions for a sustainable, circular and blue economy.

Together with other fellow project managers, Sonia Albein (OceaNets), Leire Arantzamendi (Biogears), Rebecca Pogni (FISH4FISH), Noelia Ortega (DEMO-BLUESMARTFEED), Tomas Flanagan (LeapWind), and under the introduction of Luisa Prista (Director at EASME), Andreea Strachinescu (Head of Unit at DG MARE) and Vincent Favrel (Head of Unit at EASME) we tried to show the complementarities between the blue economy and circular economy and how we can contribute to the EU Green Deal’s objectives.
